Don't Just Stand There, Do Something!
It really doesn’t matter that much if the GDP is still rising - weakly.
What really does matter is that it is not rising fast enough to bring the unemployment figures down.
The Fed and the Administration have been putting on a smiley face. “There is slow but gradual growth.” “We’re on the road to recovery.” It is simply not true; the situation is grim. The economy is on the cusp of a double dip recession. Both the Fed and the Administration are in denial!
The Right Thing to Do for America!
Barack Obama: “You know, sometimes these pundits, they can’t figure me out. They say, ‘Well, why is he doing that?’ That doesn’t poll well. .... I know it doesn’t poll well. But it’s the right thing to do for America.” (Kansas City. Mo.)
So he has pressed on, at great cost. The rescue package, the stimulus program, health care reform, finance reform......At the same time his administration is managing the largest oil spill in American history, an unsettled Iraq, a conflict in Afghanistan.... “He can’t catch a break,” as someone put it.

Summer Bar B Q and rally for Democratic candidates
We will have our 5th Annual Summer Bar B Q this Saturday, July 10, at 5:00 p.m. at the Anderson County Farmers' Market (402 N. Frank Holleman, Jane Dyer, Tom Dobbins, Gracie Floyd, Mike Vandiver, and Donovan Loftis will be there, and others are joining the list daily.
