Join us to get ready for the 2012 Election Season
New theme for the Bar B Q this year.
Since there are no elections and no candidates campaigning at the moment, we are going to turn our attention to the issues. Our annual Bar B Q will feature tables at which you can be educated on what the issues are and how to attract interest among your friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, many people in previous elections have voted against their own best interests, blindly following some ideology. Democrats have answers for real problems like continuing the slow, but sure, economic growth, educating the work force in South Carolina for the 21st century, ensuring that all have health care to remain well and able to work.
Democrats are accused by some of favoring hand outs to people who don't deserve them. Nothing could be further from the truth. Education and health care are the two important needs which must be met for any economy to grow.

Another round of unemployment and housing reports are out. Our economy is not creating jobs at a rate fast enough to match new entries into the workforce and overcome layoffs. The heavy mortgage debt and foreclosures are killing the housing market. Projections for the next year or two or three are bleak.
And the response by our political leadership:
Republicans continue the ritual of tax cuts, budget slashes, deregulation that haven’t worked.
